The agreement between us
Plain-language terms for the website, Field Intelligence, TerraPortal, hardware and what a screening reading is worth.
These terms of use are the agreement between you and TerraTactics for this website, TerraPortal, TerraTactics Soil Analysis, hardware we sell, and the TerraTactics Field Intelligence apps on Android and iOS.

By creating an account, placing an order, installing the app, or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

WHO WE ARE
TerraTactics is an Australian business. Contact: hello@terratactics.com.au.
WHAT TERRATACTICS PROVIDES
We provide screening soil-measurement hardware (including TerraProbe and, when available, TerraSpike), the FieldLab Kit colour screen, the TerraTactics Field Intelligence apps, TerraPortal farm records, and — where your plan includes it — TerraTactics Soil Analysis.
If you download Field Intelligence from Google Play or the App Store, those stores’ terms also apply.
WHAT TERRATACTICS IS NOT
TerraTactics is not a laboratory, an agronomy consultancy, or a substitute for either. Readings from TerraProbe, TerraSpike, FieldLab Kit and the apps are screening indicators for a farm record. Moisture, electrical conductivity and temperature from TerraProbe are measured in the soil. pH, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium shown from the probe are screened from conductivity — they move together and are not independent laboratory chemistry.
FieldLab Kit results are colour-screen indicators in the extract, not accredited laboratory milligrams per kilogram.
None of this supports a fertiliser or lime rate, a chemical decision, or a diagnosis of a soil condition on its own. Confirm any material decision with accredited laboratory testing and a qualified local agronomist.
SOIL ANALYSIS
Where offered, TerraTactics Soil Analysis is decision support from a specially trained model. It does not replace sampling design, accredited testing or professional advice. You choose when to run it.
THE FIELD INTELLIGENCE APP
You may install and use Field Intelligence to capture and sync readings for farms you are authorised to record.
You must not misuse the app, attempt to disrupt our servers, or use the service to infringe someone else’s rights. You may keep a copy of your own exported readings.
Location, camera and Bluetooth are optional. Refusing a permission may turn off mapping, QR linking or TerraSpike without stopping basic probe capture.
Readings stored only on the phone are yours to back up until they are synced. Uninstalling the app deletes the local copy.
YOUR ACCOUNT
You must be 16 or older to create an account. Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account and on phones linked to it.
You can revoke a linked phone from TerraPortal. Do that promptly if a phone is lost or sold.
If you operate an advisor workspace, you confirm you have the right to store those client farm records.
YOUR FARM RECORD
Soil readings, compaction tests, FieldLab entries, notes, maps and lab reports you submit remain your data. We host, display, back up and process that data so we can provide the service to you — including sync from Field Intelligence and, if you ask for it, Soil Analysis.
We do not claim ownership of your paddock data. We do not sell it.
PLANS, PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATION
Paid plans are described on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. Fees are billed through Stripe unless we agree another method.
Plans renew until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period already paid. Farm records are not automatically deleted when a subscription ends; they stay until you delete them or ask us to erase the account.
Prices may change for a future renewal. We will not alter the price of a period you have already paid.
If a payment fails we may suspend paid features until it is resolved.
HARDWARE AND FIELDLAB KIT
Hardware carries a twelve-month warranty against manufacturing fault from the date of delivery, in addition to rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Normal wear, consumables, misuse, unauthorised modification and accidental damage are not covered by that warranty.
Use instruments and kits only as the instructions describe. Reagents and field kits can be hazardous if misused — follow the booklet and safety information supplied with the product.
ORDERS AND DELIVERY
We will confirm accepted orders by email. Delivery times are estimates. Risk in hardware passes on delivery to the address you gave us. Title passes when we receive payment in full.
ACCEPTABLE USE
You must not use the website or apps to send malware, harm the service, access other customers’ accounts, or upload content you do not have the right to store.
We may suspend an account that puts the service or other customers at risk, after notice where it is reasonable to give notice.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The TerraTactics name, product names, site design, software and documentation remain ours or our licensors’. These terms do not transfer that. You may not copy the platform to run a competing service.
Map data shown in the portal may be subject to the map provider’s terms (for example OpenStreetMap contributors).
AVAILABILITY
We aim to keep the website and sync available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Field capture is designed to work offline on the phone; sync needs a network.
LIABILITY AND AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
To the extent permitted by that law, TerraTactics is not liable for agronomic, yield, livestock, environmental or financial outcomes of decisions made using screening data, maps or Soil Analysis.
Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited, at our option, to resupply of the services or payment of the cost of resupply, or replacement or repair of goods or payment of the cost of replacement or repair.
GOOGLE PLAY, THE APP STORE AND STRIPE
Google Play, the Apple App Store and Stripe are separate services. Their terms apply to distribution and payment. A billing dispute with a store is handled under that store’s process as well as these terms.
CHANGES
We may update the apps, portal and these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the updated terms, except where the Australian Consumer Law gives you another right.
If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. The courts of the Australian state or territory in which TerraTactics principally carries on business may hear disputes, without limiting any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
